Job summary

UF Health Rehabilitation Hospital - Gainesville, affiliated with Select Medical, is seeking a Receptionist for Per Diem coverage. The role supports visitor screening, admissions coverage, call routing, and lobby coordination in an inpatient rehabilitation environment.

The position requires a high school diploma; prior receptionist experience is preferred. Per Diem status offers orientation and the potential for advancement within a large hospital network.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Preferred qualifications: Previous receptionist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen visitors to the appropriate location and ensure security, visitors sign in and wear a pass.
• Provide daily coverage for admissions coordinator during breaks and transfer calls as needed.
• Notify admissions coordinator when a facility tour is requested.
• Obtain wheelchairs for patients.
• Report any unusual lobby/parking area behavior to facilities.
• Notify nursing when gifts for patients arrive for timely delivery.
• Postmark outgoing mail and distribute incoming mail.
• Log all incoming job applications.
