Job summary

UF Health Rehabilitation Hospital - Gainesville is seeking a Receptionist to join our front desk team on a per diem schedule. You will welcome visitors, screen entrants, transfer calls, and support the admissions process to ensure smooth patient flow.

This role emphasizes reliable coverage, courteous communication, and teamwork within a large rehabilitation hospital affiliated with Select Medical. Prior receptionist experience is preferred, and a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous receptionist experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen visitors and direct them to the correct location.
• Provide daily coverage for the admissions coordinator during breaks.
• Route/transfer calls and perform overhead paging.
• Notify admissions when tours are requested.
• Obtain wheelchairs for patients.
• Report unusual lobby or parking area behavior.
• Notify nursing about gifts arriving for patients.
• Postmark outgoing mail and distribute incoming mail.
• Log all incoming job applications.
