College Medical Center Long Beach is seeking a Guest Relations Specialist to support the Main Entrance with customer service, visitation coordination, and lobby operations. You will liaise with physicians, patients and staff while ensuring a courteous, efficient experience.

Qualifications

• Must have reliable, dependable behavior.
• Ability to perform job safely and effectively.
• Minimum of three (3) years in a customer-related field and 1 year in Guest Relations as PBX Operator or receptionist.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and perform tasks in English.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Provides assistance for visitors entering the main entrance of the hospital.
• Greets and speaks to everyone courteously.
• Demonstrates knowledge of Lobby Track system.
• Answers all calls within 3 rings or promptly.
• Follows hospital guidelines for answering calls.
• Maintains pamphlets, visitor info, maps, stickers and documents.
• Assists operator calls, long-distance and out-of-state calls.
• Ensures visitor ID stickers for entrants.
• Answers and transfers calls to appropriate department.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous phone service to patients, families and staff.
