Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Graduate; ServSafe Food Handler certification within 1 year.
• Typically requires 3 years of experience in hospital or hotel/restaurant food service.
• Strong knowledge in food service from hospital, restaurant, or related environment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills; ability to work closely with nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a resource to employees and students, including training and day-to-day work direction; monitors productivity and staffing levels.
• Assists with interviewing and selection of new employees, staff development, and policy interpretation.
• Monitors department operations, adjusts schedules, records information, and ensures timely completion of work.
• Provides work direction to food service staff; maintains quality production for internal and external customers; resolves issues during shifts.
• Resolves problems, trains in food prep, serving, recipe standardization, cashiering, infection control, and cleanup.
