Job summary

Hudson Regional Health in Bayonne, NJ, is seeking a Full-Time Food Service Supervisor to oversee hospital food production and retail programs under the director. The role requires supervising the nutrition team, training staff, and ensuring timely, high-quality service across tray lines and dining areas.

You will ensure food safety compliance, assist with inventory and budgeting, and support new staff orientation while participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• One to three years’ supervisory experience in hospital food and nutrition.
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial and other data.
• Proficient in Windows based office software including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Supervise food and nutrition team and assist with training, mentoring, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee tray line operations, dining room service, meal delivery and retail service to ensure timely and high-quality service.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation standards, infection control practices, and facility policies.
• Monitor food, beverage, and equipment temperatures and address any variances promptly.
• Assist with inventory management, supply ordering, audits, and departmental documentation.
• Ensure proper food storage, quality control, and safe equipment operation.
• Support orientation and development of newly hired staff members.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and perform additional duties as assigned.
• Performs all other related duties.
