Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Per Diem Food Service worker to prepare and serve foods in a hospital setting. You will set up kitchens, maintain temperature controls, and ensure accurate portions for customers while assisting with equipment and stock management.

The role requires 2-3 years of food service experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and ability to follow safety protocols. Onsite location at 75 Blossom Court with hourly pay and comprehensive benefits as applicable.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Food service experience 2-3 years required.
• Knowledge and abilities: following procedures, reading/writing, safety, and inventory basics.

Responsibilities

• Sets up food service areas, checks food temperatures, and prepares areas for daily operations.
• Conveys food and supplies from kitchen to serving site using manual carry or cart.
• Sets up hot/cold lines and manages equipment like ice cream machines as directed.
• Prepares or assists in making meats, vegetables, beverages, salads, and simple bakery items.
• Serves items to customers with correct portions and garnishes as directed.
• Replenishes foods, silverware, and tableware at serving stations; manages condiments.
