Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital is seeking a Financial Counselor to join the Patient Financial Navigation/Revenue Cycle team. You will work directly with patients and families to identify financial needs, verify coverage, and establish payment arrangements.

This full-time role requires compassionate patient interaction in a fast-paced hospital setting, with collaboration across clinical, registration, social work, and revenue-cycle teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital or Emergency Department financial counseling.
• Knowledge of self-pay accounts, Medicaid eligibility, financial assistance.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and revenue-cycle processes.
• Experience with uninsured/underinsured patients.
• Experience using EHR and patient accounting systems.
• Bilingual communication is a plus.
• Indiana Navigator license preferred for ISC role.
• At least one year in hospital Revenue Cycle preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Team-oriented with initiative.
