Ochsner Health is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to respond to department maintenance needs, repair equipment, and perform preventive maintenance in hospital and clinic settings. You will work with a range of trades including plumbing, electrical, HVAC-R, and carpentry, and support on-call emergencies as needed.

Requires a High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of maintenance experience or completion of the Ochsner Apprenticeship program, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade school or company school preferred.
• 2 years of experience in Commercial, Industrial or Hospital Maintenance or completion of the Ochsner Apprenticeship program.
• Valid driver's license in the state of residence.
• Experience with hand and power tools; plumbing, electrical, HVAC-R, carpentry; reading blueprints; ability to multi-task and work under pressure.

Responsabilités

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair minor electrical, mechanical, and plumbing items in hospital/clinic settings.
• Respond to and repair specialty systems like nurse call, fire alarm, TV, medical gas, and ceiling systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and document results.
• Assist with maintenance of equipment and facilities as assigned.
• Be available for on-call emergencies and extended hours.
