Job summary

Ochsner Health in Louisiana is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance of hospital equipment across assigned areas during the 11:00 PM–7:30 AM shift. You will diagnose issues, repair electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, and respond to emergencies with minimal supervision.

Required is a high school diploma or equivalent; trade school preferred. Two years of experience in commercial, industrial, or hospital maintenance; valid driver's license;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade/vocational training preferred.
• 2 years of maintenance experience in commercial, industrial, or hospital settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform general inspections, troubleshooting and repairs of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing items within the hospital or clinic setting.
• Respond to and repair specialty systems, such as nurse call, fire alarm, TV, medical gas, and ceiling systems.
• Complete preventive maintenance inspections per scheduled checkpoints and maintain documentation.
• Able to work on-call for emergencies and extended hours.
