Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a maintenance technician to perform and repair plant, general maintenance, carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and hospital equipment servicing. This role involves handling work orders, preventive maintenance, and project work across hospital facilities.

The position requires Stationary Engineer training and at least 200 hours of formal schooling in plumbing, HVAC, and electrical, with a preference for 3 years of facility maintenance

Qualifications

• Minimum: Stationary Engineer training
• Minimum: 200 hours of formal schooling in plumbing, HVAC, and electrical
• Preferred: 3 years of facility maintenance

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance requests as assigned throughout the facility including preventive, corrective, emergency, and project types of work orders. Evaluates routine and special repair requests in order to seek opportunities for improvement. (50%)
• Performs various special projects and physical plant improvements. (20%)
• Performs work on all scheduled preventive maintenance. (20%)
• Participates in the department QA process. (10%)
