Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a maintenance supervisor to oversee plumbing, electrical, and communications work across its medical centers. You will supervise, plan, schedule, prioritize, and coordinate preventive maintenance activities and major/minor repairs.

Responsibilities include assigning PM tasks, training and orienting staff, evaluating performance, auditing records to meet regulatory standards (JCAHO, DOH, OSHA), and coordinating with vendors for parts and equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED and related specialized training (13–24 months).
• 3–5 years of job-related experience.
• CMMS Archibus experience.
• Trade/craft credentials or 10+ years construction mechanic experience.
• Registered Electrician for Electrical group.
• Journeyman Plumber for Plumbing group.
• HVAC trade diploma.
• BOILER: City of Pittsburgh Class A Stationary Engineer License or NIULPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform major and minor repairs to medical center mechanical systems.
• Assign PM tasks, equipment installations and troubleshoot systems.
• Monitor staff performance and provide technical assistance.
• Prepare work schedules and assign personnel.
• Select, train and orient staff.
• Evaluate staff performance and recommend actions.
• Audit departmental records and verify timecards (KRONOS).
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies (JCAHO, DOH, OSHA).
• Assist in developing policies/procedures for the craft area.
• Ensure PM tasks and repairs are completed timely; complete required paperwork.
• Evaluate, select, and purchase equipment/parts for PM and installations.
