Job summary

Bridgeport Hospital, part of Yale New Haven Health Services Corp., is seeking an Environmental Services (EVS) Cleaning Technician in Bridgeport, CT. Under the EVS Supervisor, you will perform daily cleaning of patient rooms, nursing stations, restrooms, offices and hallways following infection-control procedures.

Responsibilities include dusting, mopping, waste removal, polishing fixtures, stocking supplies and maintaining a safe, clean environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and speak English.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings as required by client.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Successful completion of department orientation.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices and corridors according to assigned schedules.
• Dust, damp wipe, disinfect and polish surfaces; vacuum and mop floors.
• Maintain cleanliness of rooms and equipment; replenish supplies as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns.
