Job summary

Bridgeport Hospital, part of Yale New Haven Health, is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to clean patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms and clinics, following Sodexho Marriott and hospital procedures.

You will join a team dedicated to patient-centered care, must pass pre-employment screenings, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds; training will cover safety, equipment use, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• English proficiency required for safe performance.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and use cleaning equipment properly.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings as required by the client.
• Successful completion of department orientation.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices and corridors per schedule.
• Follow standard cleaning and infection control procedures.
• Maintain assigned equipment and report repair needs.
• Ensure safety of patients, staff and visitors during cleaning activities.
• Attend scheduled meetings and in-services as directed by supervisor.
