Job summary

Bridgeport Hospital is seeking a dedicated EVS Cleaning Technician to perform daily cleaning of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges and restrooms in a hospital setting. Responsibilities include using approved cleaning methods, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff.

Under supervision, you will complete tasks on schedule, observe safety policies, and participate in department in-services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to understand and speak English at a level that allows for safe, efficient performance.
• Pass pre-employment screenings as required by the client.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices, clinics and common areas according to schedule.
• Maintain cleanliness and report repair needs; use cleaning chemicals properly.
• Ensure safety by following department policy and PPE requirements.
• Attend scheduled meetings and perform additional tasks as directed by supervisor.
