Job summary

Yale New Haven Health Services Corp. Bridgeport Hospital Environmental Services is seeking a dedicated EVS technician to perform daily cleaning in patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices, and other areas according to hospital standards.

Under supervision, you will follow cleaning and infection control procedures, participate in safety practices, and complete tasks efficiently while maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to understand and speak English at a level that allows for safe efficient performance of assigned duties.
• Must pass all pre-employment screenings as required by the client.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• CLEANING TECHNIQUES: After initial training, perform cleaning in assigned areas following schedules and methods.
• MAINTENANCE & CLEANLINESS: Complete cleaning assignments within established time parameters and maintain equipment cleanliness.
• SAFETY: Adhere to safety policies, use protective devices, and report accidents or injuries.
• ADDITIONAL TASKS: Perform other assignments as directed and attend scheduled meetings.
