Job summary

Bridgeport Hospital, part of Yale NewHaven Health, is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to perform daily cleaning of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, and corridors in line with infection control procedures.

Under the EVS Supervisor, you will follow schedules, restock supplies, handle cleaning chemicals safely, and maintain equipment; you must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to understand and speak English for safe performance.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices, and corridors.
• Follow established cleaning and infection control procedures and use chemicals appropriately.
• Maintain assigned equipment, restock supplies, and report repairs when needed.
• Attend scheduled meetings and in-services as directed by supervisor.
