Job summary

The Christ Hospital seeks an Environmental Services Technician II to keep hospital areas clean, safe, and welcoming. You will perform floor care, room cleaning, equipment sanitation, and routine maintenance while adhering to safety and confidentiality policies.

Requirements include at least 2 years of floor care experience, a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and willingness to pursue CHEST certification within a year. This is a full-time, on-site role in Ohio.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Basic healthcare housekeeping customer service skills.
• Use of floor equipment as defined in duties and responsibilities.
• Knowledge of computers preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient safety at all times.
• Clean patient rooms and discharges as required.
• Knowledge of all ESI chemicals and procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors and staff.
• Routine floor maintenance and cleaning.
• Operate and maintain floor machines and related equipment.
• Perform floor stripping and refinishing prep and execution.
• Spot clean carpets using proper chemicals and equipment.
• Learn trash removal routes and operate related gear.
• Maintain confidentiality per hospital policy and safety regulations.
• Basic computer tasks and annual safety tests.
