Job summary

The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati seeks an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary hospital environment. You will clean patient rooms, halls, and discharge areas while following infection-control procedures and hospital safety rules.

Responsibilities include operating floor machines and related equipment, performing routine floor care, trash removal, and ensuring confidentiality of patient information.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2 years experience including floor care required.
• CHEST certification within 1 year preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Promote patient safety and maintain clean, sanitary patient areas.
• Clean patient rooms and discharge areas as required.
• Operate floor machines, Boost technology, auto-scrubbers and burnishers.
• Perform routine floor care: dust mopping, wet mopping, spot cleaning.
• Handle trash removal and bio trash procedures; read graphs and record weights.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow safety policies; use MS Office Outlook as needed.
