Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking Environmental Service Associates to clean and maintain patient rooms, public areas and service areas while providing customer service to all customers. Day shift and variable weekly hours support hospital processes and safety goals.

Minimum qualifications include no degree, basic life support certification (BLS) and age-related notes (16–17-year-olds with work permits; 18-year-olds in high school may not need a diploma).

Qualifications

• No degree or diploma required.
• BLS - Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) required.
• HS diploma or GED preferred for individuals over 18 and not in high school.

Responsibilities

• Obtains assigned cleaning or maintenance requests from automated system, daily sheet or verbal direction.
• Follows directions and uses equipment properly; notifies area through work order process to keep equipment and items maintained.
• Keeps all carts and areas stocked to appropriate levels; linen distribution included in stocking tasks.
• Willing to perform other duties including storeroom maintenance to meet cleanliness and safety standards.
• Demonstrates high level of customer service throughout OhioHealth organization, focusing on safety, quality and efficiency.
