Job summary

OhioHealth Environmental Services is seeking Environmental Service Associates to clean and maintain patient rooms and public areas while providing excellent customer service. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency within a high-reliability healthcare system.

Responsibilities include handling cleaning requests, operating and reporting on equipment, stocking carts, and supporting storeroom maintenance. This position requires no formal degree and offers a day shift.

Qualifications

• No Degree or Diploma (Required)
• 16- and 17-year-old individuals without a high school diploma or GED will be considered only if they have a valid work permit.
• 18-year-old individuals enrolled in high school do not need a high school diploma/GED/work permit to be considered.
• HS diploma/GED preferred for individuals over 18 and not in high school.

Responsibilities

• Obtains cleaning/maintenance requests from system or assignments and completes duties as directed.
• Uses and maintains equipment properly; reports issues through work orders to keep equipment and areas in good condition.
• Keeps carts and areas stocked to operating levels; linen distribution included in stocking.
• Willing to perform other duties including storeroom maintenance to meet cleanliness and safety standards.
• Demonstrates high level customer service within OhioHealth, focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency as part of a High Reliability Organization.
