Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience 0-1 year preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and how to apply chemicals safely.
• Working knowledge of vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning and sanitizing duties in accordance with schedules and infection-control guidelines.
• Maintains assigned patient and non-patient areas in a clean, safe, orderly condition.
• Completes waste removal and disposes of designated waste per procedures.
• Cleans and services areas throughout the Medical Center and moves furniture/equipment as needed.
• Operates cleaning and floor-care equipment safely (floor machines/buffers).
• Attends unit/department meetings and follows safety protocols.
