Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Experience in lieu of a degree is not accepted.
• 0-1 year related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and detailed cleaning and sanitizing of assigned areas per schedule and infection control guidelines.
• Cleans rooms, common areas, offices, and hallways to maintain a safe, sanitary environment.
• Collects and disposes of general waste and designated waste streams per procedures.
• Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed throughout the Medical Center.
• Operates cleaning equipment, including floor machines and buffers.
• Maintains cleaning equipment and supplies in a safe, organized condition.
• Follows safety, sanitation, infection control, and hazardous-material handling procedures.
• Responds to cleaning needs and department requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Participates in at least eight department or unit meetings annually.
• Keeps assigned areas clean, orderly, safe, and sanitary at all times.
• Performs additional Environmental Services duties as assigned.
