Job summary

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, part of Mass General Brigham, is seeking a Housekeeper - FT Days. You will maintain a clean, safe environment across the Medical Center, including infection prevention and proper waste handling.

Schedule is 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, every other weekend; hourly pay range is listed with shift differentials. Applicants should have a high school diploma and be prepared to learn cleaning chemicals and operate floor machines. This role supports both patient and non-patient areas.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
0-1 year of related experience preferred; must be able to perform essential duties.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and how to apply them safely.

Responsibilities

Performs cleaning and sanitizing duties according to schedules and infection control guidelines.
Maintains assigned patient and non-patient areas in a clean, safe, sanitary condition.
Removes and disposes of waste per established procedures.
Operates cleaning equipment, including floor machines and buffers.
Follows safety procedures when handling cleaning supplies and waste.
Participates in department meetings and performs additional cleaning duties as assigned.
