Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Hospital Environmental Services Associate at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment across the Medical Center. You will support infection prevention by cleaning, sanitizing, and proper waste handling in accordance with safety standards.

Responsibilities include cleaning per schedule, maintaining areas, disposing waste, and operating floor care equipment.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
Related experience 0-1 year preferred.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and how to apply chemicals safely.
Working knowledge of cleaning tools like vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.

Responsibilities

Performs cleaning and sanitizing duties in accordance with schedules and infection control guidelines.
Maintains assigned patient and non-patient areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition.
Removes and disposes of waste per established waste-stream procedures.
Cleans and services assigned areas following departmental standards and procedures.
Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies throughout the Medical Center as needed.
Operates cleaning equipment, including floor machines and buffers.
Follows safety procedures when handling cleaning supplies, equipment, and waste.
Participates in a minimum of eight department/unit meetings annually.
