Job summary

Brigham and Women's Hospital is seeking a part-time housekeeping technician to maintain a safe and clean hospital environment at 15 Francis Street, Boston. The role covers floors, restrooms, and general areas, with daytime shifts and a 16-hour weekly schedule.

Responsibilities include operating floor machines, cleaning fixtures, and reporting maintenance needs. Requires HS diploma and 2–3 years hospital cleaning experience; strong organizational and communication skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Experience: 2-3 years working with hospital cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Strong organization, ability to work independently and as part of a team; good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, strip, wax, and polish floors.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, and windows.
• Empty and sanitize waste receptacles.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and fixtures; restock supplies.
• Picks up debris around the building.
• Operate high/low speed stripping/buffing machines.
• Set up tables, chairs, and equipment for events.
• Identify and report building maintenance needs.
