Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to provide a clean, sanitary, and pleasant environment to support high-quality patient care. Routine duties include floor care, room cleaning, linen handling, and adherence to infection prevention standards.

The position is onsite at One Hospital Road, with a 40-hour work week and daytime shifts. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Experience in environmental services or housekeeping preferred (0–1 year).
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Detail-oriented with strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned areas per supervisor.
• Clean floors, offices, clinical and non-clinical spaces, halls, and entrances.
• Sweep, scrub, refinish, polish and strip floors using appropriate equipment.
• Scrub swing machines and floor machines.
• Clean carpets; vacuum, shampoo, deodorize and disinfect.
• Strip and remake beds; handle linens and rooms; empty trash; clean surfaces.
• Assist with moving furnishings as required and keep workspace neat and safe.
• Follow infection prevention protocols and standards.
