Job summary

Atlantic Health Newton Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Environmental Aide I (Housekeeping) for a 7:00AM-3:00PM shift with rotating weekends. The position starts at $18.50 per hour, with responsibilities including cleaning patient rooms, bathrooms, and public areas, while maintaining safety standards and proper labeling of supplies.

Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED, be able to read/write/speak English, and be capable of handling basic math, electronic tasks, and time-sensitive

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required or obtained within 1 year of employment.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to perform basic math and follow simple instructions.
• Ability to work well under time constraints.
• Exposure to extreme cold/heat and ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Check EVS cart and ensure proper chemical supplies are stocked, labeled, and dated.
• Clean and sanitize floors, walls, patient rooms, bathrooms, and offices.
