Job summary

Atlantic Health Newton Medical Center is seeking a Per Diem Environmental Aide I (Housekeeping) for the Environmental Services Department. Hours vary, including every other weekend, with starting pay of $21.21/hr.

This role supports clean patient rooms, bathrooms, and public areas to ensure a safe, sanitary environment for patients and staff. Requirements include a HS Diploma or GED, proficiency in reading/writing English, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Must be 16+ with NJA300 Combined Certification Form/Working Papers; younger applicants need working papers.
• Solid work history is required.

Responsibilities

• Clean inpatient rooms, bathrooms and furniture; dispose of debris and replace with fresh linen.
• Empty trash, dust high/low surfaces, mop floors and sanitize areas.
• Handle cleaning of bodily fluids as part of routine housekeeping.
