Job summary

Atlantic Health Hackettstown Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Environmental Aide I (Housekeeping). The role involves cleaning nursing units, patients' rooms, bathrooms and public areas, using standard cleaning procedures.

Hours are 8:00AM-4:00PM with rotating weekends, starting rate $18.50/hr. Position requires a HS Diploma or GED, English proficiency, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and attention to safety and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required or to be obtained within 1 year.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to perform elementary math.
• Ability to work under time constraints.
• Must be on feet for most of the shift and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Clean nursing units, patient rooms, bathrooms and designated areas using cleaning equipment.
• Stock EVS cart with labeled, dated chemicals and supplies.
• Ensure paper supplies are stocked in all bathrooms.
• Remove trash, transport soiled and clean linens, and maintain linen rooms.
• Follow cleaning solution procedures and bio-hazard handling.
• Adhere to department policies on cleaning, disinfecting and deodorization.
• Demonstrate safety for bloodborne pathogens, fire safety, OSHA, and reporting.
