Job summary

Atlantic Health Hackettstown Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Environmental Aide I (Housekeeping). Hours are 8:00 AM-4:00 PM with rotating weekends. Starting rate is $18.50 per hour.

You will clean nursing units, patient rooms, bathrooms and public areas using proper equipment; stock supplies; manage biohazard materials; and follow established safety and infection control procedures. • HS Diploma or GED required or will obtain within 1 year of employment.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Basic math skills and ability to work under time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Clean nursing units, patient rooms and bathrooms with appropriate equipment.
• Stock supplies, dispose trash, and manage soiled/clean linens.
• Follow cleaning, disinfecting and deodorization procedures.
• Comply with safety, infection control and regulatory requirements.
• Report maintenance needs and maintain records as required.
