Job summary

Atlantic Health Hackettstown Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Environmental Aide I (Housekeeping). The position hours are 4:00 PM–12:00 AM with rotating weekends, starting rate $18.50/hr.

Essential duties include cleaning nursing units and patient rooms using proper equipment, stocking supplies, and following safety and infection-control procedures. HS diploma or GED and English fluency are required; basic math and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are also needed.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required or will obtain within 1 year of employment.
• Read, write and speak English is required.
• Basic math functions must be understood.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Clean nursing units, patients' rooms and designated areas with appropriate equipment.
• Check EVS cart and stock chemical supplies; ensure bottles are labeled and dated.
• Restock paper supplies in all bathrooms.
• Remove trash and transport soiled linens; distribute clean linens.
• Follow cleaning solutions procedures and bio-hazard handling.
• Maintain safety procedures for bloodborne pathogens, fire safety and OSHA rules.
• Report repairs to maintenance when needed.
