Job summary

Tufts Medicine seeks a skilled cook to prepare meals for staff and visitors across hospital kitchens, ensuring quality and adherence to recipes, menus, and production sheets. The role involves working in all areas of food production, supporting kitchen operations and patient/retail services.

The position requires 2 years of food service experience (or restaurant) with HACCP knowledge; associate degree preferred and ServSafe certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Two years of related experience in a food services environment or restaurant.
• Associates degree in culinary arts preferred.
• Three years of experience as a cook in food services or restaurant preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• ServSafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and daily production sheets.
• Follow HACCP principles and maintain sanitary conditions.
• Review menus and prepare items in advance for service.
• Operate kitchen equipment to measure, mix, and prepare ingredients.
• Ensure uninterrupted food supply and proper food storage.
• Assist in supervising day-to-day activities of kitchen staff.
