Texas Health and Human Services Commission in San Antonio, TX seeks a Cook II to prepare, cook, portion and serve food for regular and modified diets, under the supervision of kitchen leadership. The role requires ensuring sanitary practices and following dietary guidelines.

This full-time position offers day shifts, monthly pay, nonexempt status, and opportunities for training and advancement; a Texas driver license is required and ServSafe or equivalent certification is preferred or obtainable

Qualifications

• 18 months of work experience in a food service operation.
• Valid Texas driver license or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification preferred or obtainable within six months.

Responsabilités

• Prepares, seasons, cooks, and assembles food for regular and modified diets following recipes and proper procedures.
• Operates and maintains food service equipment safely and efficiently.
• Guides and trains others in food preparation, serving, and sanitation practices.
• Completes records and reports related to kitchen operations and equipment.
• Performs duties to support disaster response/COOP as needed.
