Job summary

Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center is seeking a hospital cook to prepare and cook foods for patients, staff, and visitors, following management directions and maintaining sanitation across the department.

You will review production sheets to determine quantities, plan cooking schedules, minimize waste, ensure food quality, and assist the tray line; 1–3 years of experience is required. Levindale is a 330-bed facility within LifeBridge Health, a regional health system.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience in hospital food service or similar setting.
• Knowledge of sanitation and food safety practices.
• Ability to assist tray line and prep area as directed.

Responsibilities

• Reviews production sheets to determine types and quantity of product.
• Plans cooking schedule and minimises waste and leftovers.
• Ensures food quality by following proper preparation and sanitation techniques.
• Cleans and sanitizes preparation area and equipment.
• Provides assistance to tray line.
