Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a Cook for Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, MA. Hours: 32 to 40 per week with day/evening shifts including weekends and holidays.

Duties include preparing short-order and made-to-order foods, ensuring quality, temperature control, and cost-effective meal production. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, two years of institutional culinary experience preferred, Serv Safe certification within 60 days, and vaccination against influenza and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of culinary experience in an institutional setting preferred.
• Serv Safe Certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Prepare short-order foods and made-to-order items for all departmental feeding responsibilities.
• Monitor food quality, temperature and flavor; report issues to the Chef or Manager on duty.
• Keep production, refrigerators and freezers clean; follow sanitation guidelines.
• Follow established recipes, extend them to ensure proper yields and maintain meal costs.
