Responsibilities

Receives incoming calls and connects them as requested.
Monitors alarms such as fire, emergency, security, and telecommunications equipment.
Announces emergency codes and activates pagers and other communication devices.
Relays and routes written and verbal messages.
Identifies problems with communication devices and takes appropriate action.
