Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist with Illinois IDFPR certification.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check all medications leaving the department for accuracy and QA.
• Knowledge of chemotherapy agents and IV admixture essential.
• Knowledge of hyperalimentation and IV admixture practices.
• Oversee narcotic control and investigational drug handling.
• Assist with medication storage, dispensing, and labeling accuracy.
• Communicate with healthcare professionals regarding orders, drug interactions, and dosing questions.
• Dosing and pharmacokinetic dosing services, with charting in patient records.
• Supervise technicians operating Omnicell and ensure proper system use.
• Monitor for adverse drug reactions and ensure safe, timely dispensing.
