Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist with current licensure to practice pharmacy.
• Experience or ability in therapeutic drug monitoring and dosing.
• Knowledgeable about chemotherapy agents, IV admixture and medication safety.

Responsibilities

• CHECKS ALL MEDICATIONS LEAVING THE DEPARTMENT FOR QUALITY ASSURANCE.
• DISPENSES MEDICATIONS FROM PHYSICIAN ORDERS AND ENTERS ORDERS ACCURATELY.
• VERIFIES DOSAGES ON ORDERS AND ENSURES PATIENT APPROPRIATENESS.
• COORDINATES WITH HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS REGARDING ORDERS, INTERACTIONS, AND DOSING.
• WORKS WITH COMPUTER SYSTEMS AND PHARMACY TECHNICIANS TO ENSURE SAFE MEDICATION USE.
• OVERSSEES OMNICELL SYSTEM OPERATIONS AND PHARM PKTING PROCESSES.
• MONITORS FOR ADVERSE DRUG REACTIONS AND PARTICIPATES IN CONTINUING EDUCATION.
• PARTICIPATES IN PROJECTS AND INITIATIVES TO IMPROVE PHARMACY SERVICES.

Bachelor's Degree: Pharmacy
