Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a licensed pharmacist to provide compounded and dispensed medications along with clinical functions such as therapeutic drug monitoring and patient dosing within the Medical Center.

The pharmacist will verify orders, ensure accurate computer entry, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize therapy while maintaining safety and compliance with policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist in good standing.
• Ability to work with chemotherapy agents and IV admixture is preferred.
• Knowledge of narcotic control and investigational drugs is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Check all medications leaving the department for quality assurance.
• Dispense medications from physician orders and ensure correct entry in the system.
• Communicate with healthcare professionals regarding orders and dosage questions.
• Participate in planning and updating pharmacy services to maintain high standards.
• Enter oral and IV medications into HBOC System.
• Oversee Omnicell system operations by technicians.
• Dose all drugs in Pharmacokinetic Dosing Service and monitor for adverse drug reactions.
