Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Check all medications leaving the department for quality assurance.
• Knowledge of chemotherapy agents, hyperalimentation, IV admixture, narcotic control, and investigational drugs.
• Dispense medications from physician orders and ensure accurate entry into the system.
• Communicate with healthcare professionals regarding orders, drug interactions, and dosing questions.
• Plan and update pharmacy services to maintain high standards of practice.
• Participate in in-service programs and departmental projects.
• Enter oral/IV medications into HBOC System and oversee Omnicell operations.
• Dose medications in Pharmacokinetic Dosing Service and monitor adverse drug reactions.
