BayCare Health System in Tampa, FL is hiring a Hospital Clinic Representative to join the SJH Multispecialty Clinic-SJH team. This full-time onsite role supports the clinic with exceptional customer service, patient intake, scheduling, and coordinating referrals while handling basic billing inquiries.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 6 months of healthcare or customer service experience, with strong communication skills and a patient-first approach.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months healthcare experience or 6 months of customer service experience.
• Strong communication and patient-facing skills essential.
• Ability to manage appointment scheduling and basic billing inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Greet and sign in patients on arrival.
• Schedule appointments and respond to patient inquiries.
• Coordinate procedures, tests, and referrals with physicians.
• Collect and post patient payments and assist with billing questions.
• Review encounter forms for accuracy before checkout.
• Maintain patient information and complete clerical tasks as needed.

Facility: BayCare Health System, SJH Multispecialty Clinic-SJH

Shift: Days | Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite

Status: Non-Exempt

Weekend Work: None

On Call: No

Remote Work: Not eligible (Onsite only)

Role Overview

As a Hospital Clinic Representative , you will support the clinic healthcare team by providing exceptional customer service and administrative support while helping ensure an outstanding patient experience.

Key responsibilities include:

• Greeting and signing in patients upon arrival
• Obtaining and updating patient information
• Scheduling appointments and assisting with patient inquiries
• Coordinating procedures, laboratory services, and referrals with consulting physicians
• Collecting and posting patient payments
• Assisting patients with billing questions
• Reviewing encounter forms for completeness prior to patient checkout
• Managing clerical duties, including sorting mail and copying medical records
• Maintaining accurate patient information and documentation
• Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

Experience

Required:

• Six (6) months of Healthcare experience OR
• Six (6) months of Customer Service experience
