Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls promptly and route to the correct department.
• Provide information to callers according to hospital policy.
• Maintain a beeper list and page personnel as needed.
• Notify Engineering/Safety or Security when alarms or malfunctions occur.
• Learn and follow departmental policies for alarms and codes in emergencies.
• Create trouble tickets for phone repair and maintenance.
• Assist in training new Communication Center Operators.
• Perform other related duties in the Communications Center.
