Job summary

WVU Health System seeks a part-time Nutrition Services Cook/Baker/Relief Cook to support Ruby Cafeteria operations. Primary duties include food preparation, line setup, inventory restocking, and ensuring high quality, timely service in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities include following recipes, maintaining food safety standards, and assisting with special dietary needs. Weekend and holiday shifts may apply; strong customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid FSWP from MCHD before starting
• Must obtain a MCHD Temporary FSWP by first Wednesday of employment
• Must maintain MCHD FSWP throughout employment
• Background checks required if assigned to Child Development Center / Chestnut Ridge Center / Center for Hope and Healing

Responsibilities

• Prepares food according to recipe and projected amounts
• Sets up bars and lines
• Restocks, cleans and maintains areas
• Gathers ingredients efficiently according to recipe
• Checks coolers for leftovers and plans for use
• Produces and maintains quality food and beverage products
• Prepares attractive and appetizing foods with quality ingredients
• Follows menu cycle and projected servings
• Ensures sanitation, safety and quality control per policies
• Addresses customer service in a polite professional manner
• May perform duties of dietetic assistants as needed
