Job summary

Humboldt General Hospital in Winnemuca, NV is seeking a Maintenance Tech/Biomed to maintain the facility and equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with applicable standards and hospital policies.

You will perform routine maintenance across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other systems, conduct inspections, manage records, and support department safety with shift rotations and on-call duties. A forklift certification and Nevada driver’s license are preferred. Full-time role.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent
• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Previous Maintenance experience preferred
• REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: Forklift certification
• Valid and unrestricted Nevada driver's license
• SPECIAL SKILLS: Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance and repair of the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc. in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Services heating and cooling units/systems, as specified by the manufacturer, in compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Follows preventative maintenance schedules and prioritizes repair and maintenance work to minimize disruption of hospital operations.
• Performs daily inspections of mechanical rooms throughout the hospital to ensure proper operation of heat, air conditioning and ventilation, and medical support equipment.
• Replaces burned out light bulbs, to include exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, room call lights, exterior lighting and others
