Job summary

Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support facility operations across the campus. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems to ensure safe patient care environments.

The role requires hands-on experience, the ability to read diagrams, and a commitment to teamwork, safety, and timely response to service requests. On-call participation may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Hands-on maintenance experience in a related field.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment instructions, diagrams, schematics.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-skilled team.
• Willingness to learn additional maintenance disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and skilled maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance across the hospital and related facilities.
• Respond to work orders involving electrical, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, and general building maintenance.
• Troubleshoot facility issues to identify root causes and determine corrective actions.
• Maintain and repair HVAC and mechanical equipment including pumps, motors, and belts.
• Complete general building repairs such as doors, drywall, painting, and carpentry.
• Support inspections and testing of hospital utilities and life-safety systems.
• Assist licensed contractors and vendors as needed.
• Participate in emergency response and on-call rotation.
