Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center is seeking a Staff Engineer to help maintain and improve the hospital's physical infrastructure. You will support HVAC, electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems, ensuring safe, reliable operations across a 24/7 healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 3–6 months related experience/training; or equivalent combo of education and experience.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and operate standard office equipment.
• Ability to follow written, oral or diagrammed instructions.
• Ability to solve problems with multiple concrete variables in standard situations.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs hospital systems to support safe, reliable operations.
• Performs HVAC controls maintenance and associated equipment to maximize efficiency.
• Performs urgent, routine and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems.
