Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a Hospital-Based Registered Nurse to deliver nursing care to patients across age groups in a hospital setting. You will use the nursing process to plan and evaluate care, administer medications, and collaborate with the care team to achieve safe outcomes.

Under supervision of the nurse manager, you will contribute to patient safety, participate in professional development, and adhere to HIPAA and regulatory standards. A BSN is preferred; an ADN is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients of varying ages using the nursing process and standards.
• Administer medications and monitor effects per policies and regulatory requirements.
• Develop individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the care team and family.
• Assess and document patient status across admission to discharge with safety as a priority.
• Coordinate with unlicensed assistive personnel and healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality care.
