Job summary

UofL Health in Louisville, KY is seeking a Hospital-Based Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive nursing care across age groups using the nursing process and evidence-based practice.

Under the supervision of a clinical nurse manager, you will assess patient health, administer medications, coordinate with the care team, and educate patients and families for safe discharge. A valid KY RN license and BLS are required; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• Current KY RN license or compact license.
• BSN preferred; nurses must start BSN within 1 year and complete within 3.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS may be required for some units.

Responsibilities

• Conducts systematic patient assessments from admission to discharge.
• Administers medications per policies and documents timely.
• Plans and coordinates care with multidisciplinary team.
• Provides patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Maintains HIPAA compliance and professional behavior.
