Job summary

Guidehouse is hiring a Hospital Admissions Representative in Los Angeles for a swing shift (3:00pm–11:30pm) onsite. You will collect and verify demographic and financial information, obtain signatures, handle pre-certifications, and update patient records to ensure accurate billing and clinical data.

The role requires a High School Diploma, 0–1 year in a medical or high-volume customer service setting, BLS certification or ability to obtain, and the ability to complete AVADE training within 30

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-1 year experience in a medical setting or heavy customer service environment with data entry.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to obtain AVADE training offered by MLK Community Hospital within 30 days from start date.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify demographic and financial information from patients and sources.
• Obtain signatures on legal consents and insurance forms.
• Perform pre-certification, referrals, or deposits and update patient files.
• Notify patients and staff of insurance coverage issues and co-pays.
• Review physician orders for completeness; ensure information is listed.
• Comply with Medicare and ABN requirements as necessary.
• Maintain multiple computer systems; provide customer service.
