Select Specialty Hospital - Phoenix is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to join the Business Development Team on a full-time, on-site basis. The role focuses on referral intake, admission processes, and coordination with multiple departments to ensure a smooth transition for patients.

You will verify benefits, input data, and support the admission workflow while maintaining compliance and patient care quality. A 0% deficiency rate and effective communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and hospital/insurance environments.
• Experience in customer service within health insurance or provider settings.
• Experience with third-party insurance verification and prior authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily conversion call with Business Development team each morning.
• Verify Medicare benefits and secondary insurance plans for referred patients.
• Enter referral, admission, denial and conversion data in online systems.
• Ensure deficiencies remain at 0% to keep the hospital financially viable.
• Coordinate data with clinical liaisons, case managers, and physicians for admission.
• Oversee day-of admission tasks, equipment, medications, and patient room readiness.
• Escort patients through admission and obtain signed consent to treat forms.
